Why resilience requires new thinking.

Have you ever wondered why certain decisions are made in your company, even though it was clear to many outsiders that a different solution would have been better?

People often make irrational decisions and try to solve existing problems with the same methods they used to create them. This makes it difficult to reverse bad decisions once they've been made. But why is this? Why are bad decisions tolerated and not corrected?

The main reason is that the way we make decisions is far too rarely questioned. Changing our minds would mean admitting mistakes – something many find difficult. Furthermore, we often find it difficult to imagine that there could be better solutions than the ones we've already chosen.

What leads us into such situations?

We don't reflect enough before making decisions. Our decisions seem rational to us, but they are often influenced by our beliefs, inner blocks, and unconscious assumptions. In addition, many of us feel overwhelmed and lose energy as a result. To better cope with daily challenges, we need more resilience and better decision-making quality.

So why not be more authentic and make value-driven, reflective decisions that are supported by all team members? Often, all that's missing is a seemingly simple thing: comprehensively reflecting on the situation and the framework before making a decision. Only then can we make informed decisions that align with both the organization and our own values.

How do you handle such decision-making situations? I look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences in the comments!
