Review of the AI & HR Day at the AI Express Startup Center in Böblingen

On November 18, 2025, I had the opportunity to attend the AI & HR Day at the AI Express Startup Center in Böblingen—and my impressions were consistently positive.

I met many new people from the startup ecosystem and had engaging conversations, including with accelerators, potential customers, and individuals working in this environment. Many thanks as well to Jan Ludwig and Lewin Keller, who kindly invited me to this event.

It was particularly interesting to see that the topic of artificial intelligence is also gaining further momentum in the HR field, with several solutions presented by startup founders.

Another key focus was on discussions about accelerators and their processes—especially regarding funding opportunities, financial support, legal guidance, and the option to rent office space at AI Express. In this context, I had a specific exchange with Baden-Württemberg International / the regional economic development agency of Baden-Württemberg.

One point stood out very clearly: while startups are very well supported overall, one essential area is largely overlooked—reflection and, as a result, better decision-making by founders. Especially for startups, it is crucial to make sound, well-considered decisions, whether on strategic issues, people-related topics, conflicts, or team building. There is a noticeable gap here that could be closed through targeted support.

Overall, it was a thoroughly successful event.
